MorphoWave™: Comparison of the range of readers
IDEMIA, the global leader in digital security, offers an innovative and unique technology range of biometric readers: the MorphoWave™. These readers allow quick and secure identification using fingerprint technology. They have been developed to meet specific needs for reliable, efficient, fast, and ultra-secure access control. They are deployed in airports, banks, parking lots, universities, and more.
The benefits of biometrics
Biometrics is a science that uses physical or behavioral characteristics to identify individuals. Fingerprints, facial recognition, and voice prints are examples of biometrics used to verify an individual’s identity. IDEMIA‘s MorphoWave™ biometric readers allow quick and secure identification using fingerprint technology. Additionally, they have the advantage of being usable
contactless and continuously, greatly improving the speed, security of identification, and user experience.
Comparison of models in the range
There are two models in the IDEMIA MorphoWave™ range, each designed to meet specific needs. To make an effective comparison, it’s important to define the end-user’s needs and compare them to the different features and characteristics of each reader.
The two models are:
- MorphoWave™ XP (eXtended Performance), a biometric reader for projects requiring extended performance with over one hundred thousand user entries for 1-to-N recognition, up to 60 people per minute. This model features a color touch screen for communication with users and clocking and timing functions.
- MorphoWave™ SP (Simplified Profile), the essential of MorphoWave technology with a capacity of ten thousand user entries. This model has a simplified interface with multicolored LED indicators.
