What is the TSA?
The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is an American government agency created after the attacks of September 11, 2001, whose main mission is to ensure the safety of travelers on national territory.
A mission made possible in part thanks to IDEMIA, the main supplier of biometric sensors in more than 180 countries.
Fast and secure access for travelers
With the TSA Precheck program, millions of travelers can move faster, without wasting time in boarding areas, by accessing expedited security lanes at US airport checkpoints.
To do this, the traveler must first take steps to integrate the program via an application center where he must provide his fingerprints, a valid identity document, documents attesting to his American citizenship and the 85 $ registration fee.
A negligible cost compared to the time saved to go through security checkpoints at airports, not to mention the exemption from inconveniences such as having to remove your shoes or belt at the checkpoint.
A growing number of members
If the TSA PreCheck system is intended to streamline queues at airports, it was originally reserved for only a handful of travelers.
